Warm wishes, Violeta!
October 20, 2016 by Blandin Foundation
Today we wish a fond farewell to Violeta Hernández Espinosa, the Minnesota Council on Foundations Ron McKinley Fellow who has worked alongside our Grants team since the beginning of the year. Violeta has accepted a newly-established position as the Legislative and Policy Liaison with the Minnesota Council on Latino Affairs.
Over the past nine months, Violeta has immersed herself in the world of philanthropy — learning about the field broadly and particularly with hands-on experience in grant review and assessment. She also attended, and graduated from, the Blandin Community Leadership Program as well as from Anishinaabe World View Training hosted by the Grand Rapids Police Department. The Foundation has benefited and learned from the opportunity to host a Ron McKinley Fellow. We thank Violeta for her many contributions to our work, particularly on the topic of inclusion, and for being a dedicated and enthusiastic members of our team.
We have greatly enjoyed working with Violeta! We wish her success in her future endeavors, and hope she will continue to work to strengthen rural communities!
