- Emmaville: Who says a centennial celebration has to stop after one year? After having held successful jubilees the year prior, residents of Emmaville decided that another “biggest little parade in the world” was in order. Attendees came together to recognize and celebrate the recent community work that has put Emmaville “back on the map.” Read the full story at the Park Rapids Enterprise.
- Lake of the Woods: Hitting your favorite fishing hole or hiking trail just got a little bit easier. On June 16, Lake of the Woods County Commissioners selected a site southeast of Angle Inlet to “build a new airport that will open the remote area of northern Minnesota to general aviation.” The new airport will open up the area for more economic development opportunities. - Austin: “It’s a great way to bring the community together,” said Stephen Palen, who recently donated $5,000 for the Artworks Festival in Austin.
